BATS – BLUE FRINGED SILK SCARF

Colorful silk twill scarf by designer Arlette Ess featuring fruit bats and baobab flowers, in a versatile 90 cm x 90 cm format. Italian silk twill with fringed edges.Bats is a nocturnal version of African Straw Colored fruit bats in a baobab tree. (Other ‘Bats’ versions are in the works) These bats, as is in the name, eat fruit and sometimes flowers and leaves. Fruit bats are the main pollinators of the iconic African Baobab tree.The colors of this scarf are exquisite and combine well with almost anything – from beige trench coats to shiny black leather and anything in between.The print is based on monochrome Indian ink drawings. Images of the originals and work in progress will be online soon.The scarf is printed in Italy onto 100% Italian silk twill, a classic scarf fabric with a subtle sheen. It has a satisfying weight and drapes beautifully, and the artwork shows exceptionally well on this fabric.
