Conventional Composting Workshop

Saturdays 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Followed by a 1-Hour Question & Answer session Weather permitting   AT THIS WORKSHOP you will learn how to: Construct your own composting unit with hands on training and instructions Determine the types of materials to compost during different seasons and how to prepare it Determine which green and brown waste to use in your composting unit to obtain optimum microbial activity Keep your composting units at optimal moisture level with the right amount of water Maintain units for optimum growth and expansion Harvest the compost from your composting unit Apply the compost to your garden, plants and other vegetation Brew compost tea - from your compost - how to apply the liquid fertilizer to your gardens & grow beds  Incorporate Red Wigglers within your composting unit to generate your own Worm Castings
