Natural Perfumery with Essential Oils • April 5th

Saturday, April 5th, 2025 from 10-4pm Creating your own fragrances with pure, natural essential oils is a sensual art and science that combines intuition, imagination, and a passion for aroma. Based on the Slow Scent® method of perfumery developed by Mandy Aftel, this experiential class covers the basics of perfumery history, blending guidelines for top, middle, and base notes, dilution ratios and more. Together we will explore a carefully curated selection of over 20 different essential oils, absolutes and CO2 extracts. You’ll learn how to formulate your own natural perfume and go home with two unique solid perfumes that you crafted in class. LOGISTICS: The class is held at Gathering Thyme in Petaluma and runs from 10am – 4pm with an hour lunch break. Class size is limited to 12 students. Register early to ensure your space. COST: $100 for the class plus a $25 materials fee to be paid to instructor at the start of class. This includes handouts and the 2 unique solid perfumes that you
