In this drop, we are featuring another grape that we haven’t featured before to GESTALT members. In this case, the Safe Word release showcases the elusive, mysterious, Malbec grape variety. 2023, from the Chalk Hill district of Sonoma County. Our Safe Word Malbec walks the line between the French and Argentinian versions. It is dark, serious, round, rich, structured, and impeccably balanced. There’s just enough of everything in this wine - brambly fruit nose to let your mouth know that there is an inbound treat coming, nice clean entry which fans out and lets you know this is serious wine that will reward the efforts from the kitchen, and a finish which is satisfying but not fatiguing.
