Battle of the Bulge

"This is undoubtedly the greatest American battle of the war and will, I believe, be regarded as an ever-famous American victory."  —Winston Churchill, on the Battle of the Bulge. Another member of our legendary and all-original Battle Maps collection, the Battle of the Bulge battle map shows the enemy attack on the Allied lines that freezing winter of 1944-45. Our map shows the "bulge" in the lines for which the battle was ultimately named, and also shows the Siege of Bastogne, at which Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe famously replied, "Nuts!" to the Nazi request for surrender.
