1948 Russell Stahl Redware Creamer Olive Green Lead Glaze Applied Handle
Description: A 1937 glazed redware slightly bulbous shaped creamer having an applied handle and a small pinched spout. The creamer is olive-green lead glazed on the inside and out but not on the base. The creamer has a rounded rim with a raised collar ring and two incised shoulder rings. It has round flat base with a tooled canted foot flange. The applied handle is ribbed. The base is incised with indication as to the maker and when it was made. The piece is in great condition with general crazing to the glaze and one or two minor and very small flakes and glaze loss here and there most notable at the base of the handle. The piece also has some roughness along the edge of the base and the top rim. It is signed and dated by the potter Russell Stahl. A great piece of Stahl pottery to add to your collection.
