1980 Signed Folk Art Hand Carved & Painted Wooden Christmas Cardinal Bird Figure

Description: A nice folk art hand carved wood bird figure. The carving shows a bird painted in red standing on a tree trunk. The bird has a tuft on top of its head, a yellow beak surrounded by black coloring. The bird also has yellow colored wings with holly leaves and red berries. The piece is signed and dated on the bottom. The bottom has writing in pencil "Xmas Cardinal Jane Von Bone (or it could be Bann or Bass or? we are not quite sure what it is) 1980" in five lines. The carving is well done and shows nice details of the bird's wings, tail, head, beak and the tuft on top of its head. The carving is colored in red, black, yellow, and green colors. The bird is standing on a tree trunk with two wooden yellow colored legs. A wonderful Christmas piece of folk art carving to add to your Collection.
