Description: A hand carved and painted wood bird figure. The carving shows a black bird standing on a brown oval wood base. The bird is attached to the base with the help of a yellow colored this wood cylinder. The carving shows a black bird with a yellow beak and yellow eyes with a black colored plastic center. The carving shows the general shape of the bird with wings, beak and tail being expressed. The carving is colored in black with yellow colors for the beak and the outline of the eyes. It is very well done by what we would categorize as an accomplished folk-art carver. The carving is marked as to the artist on the underside of the base. A nice piece of folk art carving to add to your Collection.
