Description: A nice, large size, choice very fine or much better Banknote from Mexico. This is the October 20, 1914 issue known as Gobierno Provisional De Mexico twenty pesos Revalidado (revalidated) paper currency. This is the series "D" 20 pesos. The banknote depicts Liberty seated at left in gray-blue and white with shield in one hand and an olive branch in the other. The shield has the date 1914. The center has a black and white eagle with spread wings and having a snake in its beak all over a light gray-blue underprint on the front, this represents the arms of Mexico. The designs are on a yellow-brown-greenish background. The back is orangish-brown in color with a central image of a one-peso coin having Liberty's bonnet in its center. The back also displays the denomination in the four corners.
