1993 Decorative Redware Egg Glazed Yellow and Brown Open Fan and Flower Sgraffito Design by Lester Breininger

Description: A nice size redware egg made by Lester Breininger. The glazed egg is beautifully decorated with a sgraffito design showing what we believe is an open fan with a flower below it. The egg is yellow in color with the fan and the flower being outlined in brown and having green sponged highlights. The bottom of the egg has a flattened base and is brown in color. The egg is signed "B+LB 1993" for Barbara and Lester Breininger 1993 on the flat surface where it sits. This is a very nice redware egg with a beautiful design and colors made by the master himself with the help of his wife Barbara. The egg is entirely glazed and looks great. Origin: Robesonia, Berks County, Pennsylvania.Size: This egg measures ~3 1/4" long and is ~2 1/4" high and ~2 1/2" wide. The piece weighs slightly over 4 ounces.
