These packages each have a small flaw that qualifies them as "seconds", such as: A dent or ding that punctures the package (they may leak when thawed). Chunks of delicious grassfed beef fat that weren't well ground and incorporated into the meat (you can remove these or break them up when cooking the meat). Packages that are a little over or under the typical 1 lb weight (though you will get 20 lb total in the bundle). Loss of vacuum seal, light frost, or slight discoloring on the meat.
