A lovely scarce fine binding edition of the Breviary for the Octave of Epiphany in Latin, published in Spain, fitted with a contemporary custom leather cover.Officium in Epiphania Domini, et per totam Octavam: Juxta Missale, & Breviarium Romanum S. Pii v. Pont. Max. jussu editum, Clementis viii. primum ac denuo Urbani viii. auctoritate recognitum.Published Ex Typographia Viduae Marin, Matriti, 1790.Condition: Very Good. Contemporary custom monogrammed genuine leather cover is carefully fitted over the original red gilt leather fine binding. Both clasps still work. Some minor rubbing and wear to the leather cover, but it remains soft, thick, & durable. Two of the threads attaching the custom cover to the rear have broken. Marbled endpapers. Engraved image of the Epiphany on the title page. Clean interior, with a few pressed flowers & leaves between the pages. Binding is sound.
