Date: 1959Artist: Georget, GuySize (in): 39.25” x 24.5”Size (cm): 99.7 x 62.2Condition: A-Linen backed: No This vintage original poster was created by the artist Guy Georget (1911-1992) and issued by the Air France airline to promote the French Riviera as a travel destination.  For this poster Georget renders a colorful Mid-Century Modern design in his unmistakable style complete with boats on the water, Mediterranean architecture and locals chatting under a palm tree.   Guy Georget produced many beautiful posters for Air France and other commercial clients such as Phillips as well as also designing a long used logo for La Poste, the postal service in France.  The bottom edge of the poster is printed Réf. 21341/P.6.59 which we believe indicates a 1959 production date.   Also printed on the bottom edge is “Printed In France” and “Imp.
