Date: 1959Artist: Carlu, Jean   Size (in): 39.25” x 24.25”Size (cm): 99.7 cm x 61.6 cm Condition: A-Linen backed: No This delightful Mid-Century poster is one of several created by the prolific French poster artist for the Air France airline.   This poster advertises Europe as a destination and features a colorful montage of images showing scenes and scenery from across the European continent including the Eiffel Tower, a Scottish Castle, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, a Greek vase and more.  Carlu’s name is signed in print on the lower left corner and the bottom edge of the poster is printed “REF. 21.130 P_11_59” which we take to indicate a 1959 publication date.   Also printed on the lower edge on the right side is “Printed In France IMP. S.A. Courbet – Paris”.   This lightly used vintage original poster is free of tape or pinholes and shows just light handling wear including a slight crease on the tip of the upper right corner and slight bumping to the tip of the lower left corner.   Th
