Franciacorta, Ferghettina

Producer Details Franciacorta is a small wine-producing area in Lombardy, northern Italy. It is famous for its high-quality sparkling wines, which are made in the same method as champagne. Gerghettina has 200 hectars of vineyards located in 11 municipalities of Franciacorta, they use organic farming principles, in order to exploit the resources of the different soils as fully as possible, and enhance the quality of their wines. Ferghettina is a family matter: everything is managed by Roberto and Andreina, with the help of their children Laura and Matteo, both with degrees in oenology. Farming Details Franciacorta Milledi is an expression of minerality and flavor. For this cuvee the Chardonnay is selected from 12 different vineyards located in 8 municipalities of Franciacorta. The wine is aged for 48 months on the lees. Tasting Notes Pale yellow with gold and green hints. Fine and persistent perlage. In mouth the wine has a lingering aftertaste, with citrus and mineral note
