Actaea racemosa - Black cohosh

This perennial wildflower may take some time to establish itself, but its vibrant, fragrant flower will attract a number of pollinators and make a beautiful addition to your garden. It's upright stems of pearl-like buds that then burst into fluffy towers of small white flower attract several Azure butterfly species and bumblebees.  This plant grows best in part shade or full shade, and prefers medium soil moisture.  Height: 4-6 ft Sun: Part Shade to Full Shade Water: Medium Bloom color: White Bloom time: June-August
