BIG HUGE thanks to Reta Records for providing another gem of a 7", this one in a two-color Green Noise exclusive limited edition of 50, Andrea (Andy Jam) and the boys delivering the goods,Don't Want To EP by Sister Suzie the band's name maybe alluding to all the songs that included that name (from Billy Murray's 1915 "Sister Suzie Sews..." to Paul McCartney's "Let 'Em In" which likely alludes to Linda's band that did "Seaside Woman" and while the band's name probably doesn't allude to any songs, I'd like to think it alludes to the S-S-S-Suzie in Tuff Darts' "Here Comes Trouble") but more likely if it's an allusion at all, it's a nod to Motor City's Suzi Q., and when you think of Ms. Q, you bound to think of her two daughters--Ms. Jett and fellow Detroiter Ms. Corvette--and here the legacy continues with Sister Suzie, switchblade sister swaggering in with the title track, grabbing you and pulling you in, socking it to you with the 1-2 punk-rock punch on the flipside.  Get it!!! - winc
