The Mutsu Apple Tree (Malus domestica 'Mutsu') Mutsu is an versatile apple, also known as the Crispin Apple. It's a large size and extremely juicy, slightly acidic that makes it an perfect apple for cooking and baking. Mutsu once cut, keep their shape when baked, but it can also be cooked for apple sauce, and slices can be dried too. Apples skins are green, maturing to yellow, sometimes blushed orange. Flesh is yellow-white, firm, juicy, crisp but coarse; slightly aromatic. Highly resistant to frost injury.  Considered a medium growth rate.  For maximum fruit production, plant in full sun, in well drained moist acidic, loamy, rich, sandy, silty loam soils.
