Chemdawg (H)

Chemdog, or Chemdawg, was created in the early 1990s in the parking lot of a Grateful Dead concert. Dead concerts had a reputation for being trade centers for cannabis cultivars, and during this particular show, a breeder named Chem purchased an ounce of Dogbud from fellow growers P-Bud and Joe Brand. The flower -- which supposedly originated along the California-Oregon border -- tasted so strongly of chemicals that Joe Brand nicknamed it Chem. Chem (the breeder) combined the two names, and Chemdog was the result.
