Looming Ben Nevis. Fort William, Scotland. /250
Pictured is the tallest "munro" in Scotland and tallest mountain in the United Kingdom, Ben Nevis, standing at 4,413 ft. The eastern face of the mighty mountain is captured from midway up the ascent to sister munro, Càrn Mòr Dearg. The Ben's summit reaches into the sky and clouds diverge around it, obscuring the domed pinnacle from sight. Leaving the mind to fabricate a guess as to its true form based on vivid and jagged lines further below. Lingering snow clings to it for life in its cradling creases. The clouds will pass and it will remain there, undisturbed. The Landscape collection aims to convey the sights and feelings of places at home and around the globe through the lens of the intrepid, curious and open-minded. Images displaying compelling places through a digital photography medium reunite the viewer with the beauties of nature.
