Emmaline at the Lakou of Limbe

Emmaline, a bright young girl from Cap-Haïtien, travels with her Grandfather (Granpe) to Limbé to visit her best friend, Madison, who lives in a vibrant, communal Lakou near the Limbe River. During their stay, Emmaline experiences the joys of garden-to-table living, community cooperation, Haitian storytelling, and traditional meals like Tchaka and Legume. She plays, helps harvest and plant food, and learns important life values rooted in Haitian culture.
