Agave americana - Century Plant

Agave Americana The common name Century Plant arose because it was once thought it took 100 years for the plant to flower. It does not take quite that long, more like 10-25 years. Their striking sculptural form makes them a great specimen or accent plant for winter interest in a garden. This plant is highly salt and heat-tolerant. They are opportunistic when it comes to water, requiring little but growing equally well in humid regions with higher natural rainfall. Easy to grow, adaptive large plants.
