Agave parryi v. couesii - Coues' Agave (Rare) This smallish agave has narrow gray leaves lined with small brown to black teeth and a significant terminal spine. This rare agave and several hybrids are native to northern & central Arizona. In mid to high-elevation gardens, this Agave requires full sun, but in low desert or inland southern California gardens, they perform best in part shade or morning sun locations. They are only found in isolated populations around 6500 - 7000 ft. along the Mogollon (Mo-gee-on) Rim. Indoor/outdoor container plant in all zones.
