Agave parryi v. truncata This agave has a broad powder-blue leaf that resembles an artichoke, hence the common name Artichoke Agave. The terminal spines are one inch long, typically black and wavy. It is a very attractive accent for any landscape, container, bed, or box. Their natural habitat is oak-juniper grasslands between Zacatecas & Durango Mexico around 7,500 ft. elevation. These sculptural and adaptable plants are easy to grow and prefer average, but well-drained soil.
