This beautiful stone is a purple velvet obsidian. The base color of the obsidian is deep jet black but when it flashes in direct light you see a purple sheen across it. By base color I mean that in low light or when not flashing in the light at certain orientations the stone will appear black. I cut this stone in a domed round and set it in solid sterling silver .925. The chain is 20 inches in length and is also solid silver. The pendant measures about .81 x .63 in inches.
