Petoskey Stones Earring, Solid Silver
Petoskey stones are fragments or remnants of a coral reef that was originally deposited during the Devonian period after being brought south during glaciation. We shaped the petoskey's for this set of earrings in domed rounds and set them in solid sterling silver. The ear wires and jump rings are solid 925 argentium sterling silver. Argentium sterling is a premium option due to it's resistance to tarnishing and ease of cleaning (wipe with silver cloth) making it the best choice for ear wires. These are tiny stones. The settings are just 9 mm across. The pictured holder is a prop and is not included. In the global market we encourage you to shop local by supporting artists and small businesses who cut stones within the U.S.A. All of our stones and fordite are made by us, within our home, in Wisconsin. Our stones are mirror polished and so there will be reflections in the pictures. We take pictures in direct bright light that simulates what your stone will look like in direct sunlight.
