Prayer: Approaching the Throne with Grace Bible Study

Prayer is alive; a very real interaction with a Holy God, at His invitation. The “prayer life” of a believer is simply the practice, the discipline, of prayer woven through the fiber of our everyday. It is embracing the reality that this world belongs to God, and everything happening here is about Him and for His purposes and His glory rather than asking God how He can fix this or change that or supply another thing. It is in His goodness to care for our every need, but sometimes His and our definitions of a “need” will differ, and we will only understand when we seek His will above our own. There are many facets in approaching the throne of God with confidence, but none of them are secret. God desires to be found by those who seek Him. (Jeremiah 29:13) The Word is full of instruction on the beauty and privilege that is prayer, and Jesus went so far as to teach us phrase by phrase how to pray. How astounding that God, who does not need us at all, graciously chooses relationship with us
