Tecolote Cafe
Tecolote Cafe is a tri-color Ranunculus in shades of orange, rust, and gold with streaky petals that look like they were quickly brushed over by an artist. Each corm produces 7-10 stems of gently scented flowers that average 18-24” tall. Tecolote Cafe is deer-resistant and makes an excellent cut flower. Ranunculus do well in beds, borders, or pots. Tecolote Cafe is sold in packs of 10. Planting Instructions: Plant Ranunculus in the fall for zones 8-11 for spring blooms. In zones 4-7, store the hardened corms in a cool, dark place and plant in early spring for mid-summer blooms. Soak corms in room temperature water for 3-4 hours; avoid oversoaking. Choose an area with full sun for planting. Add compost and a balanced fertilizer to your soil. Plant corms 9” apart, 2-3” deep, with tentacles facing down in the soil. Water after planting and continue weekly watering to ensure the corms do not dry out for the remainder of the growing season.
