Jaff Kurd Kilim Khorjin - 2'5 x 5'2
This kilim woven double saddlebag or "Khorjin" was woven by Kurds during the second quarter of the 20th century. The closure is composed of brown, red, and white slit tapestry with blue and purple braided loops. The back is a simple plain weave with a striped pattern between the bag-faces. Classic jaff pattering of multicolored diamonds is utilized with two large borders framing the design. The variety and depth of color is typical of Kurdish weavings. In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age.
