6th Century Coptic Textile Fragment - 1' x 1'3

This Coptic textile was woven in Egypt or the Levant in the 6th century AD.  This colorful pieces features a fragment that is hard to decipher but includes various naturalistic shapes and maybe even a fish. It has evolved into very abstract rendering that can be read in many different ways. In good condition considering its significant age.
