Antique Ersari Turkmen - 4'1 x 5'6

This Turkmen was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950) in Central Asia. Features a field of Ersari gul symbols down the length of the rug in red, blue, orange and white atop a madder red field. Some gul centers are rendered in a lighter turquoise where others are rendered in a dark navy. Surrounded by an alternating triangle border.
