Antique Karadagh Runner - 3’3 x 12’9
This Karadagh runner was handwoven during the late 19th Century. It features a series of nested medallions that march down a rich abrashed indigo field. The medallions are rendered in blues, green, red, apricot, and aubergine with geometric symbols and figures filling out the negative space. The pile is low and of lush high-quality wool. In very good condition, with some repairs near one end. Both selvedge have been replaced.
