Antique Heriz Rug - 8'x 11'4

Heriz rug handwoven during the early 20th century. This classic Heriz features a geometric central medallion on a soft madder red ground. It features a beautifully patinated and abrashed palette of ivory, gold, reds, blues, greens and pinks. It is framed perfectly by four soft and detailed ivory cornices. The main border is composed of an intricate palmette design, while the minor borders feature floral meanders.  In excellent condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Low pile with a sturdy handle.
