Antique Shirvan Rug - 5’7 x 10’6

This Shirvan was handwoven during the early 20th century in the Eastern Caucasus. It features an allover design in diagonal rows on an earthy red ground. The field is composed of tree-like forms each surrounded by rosettes. In between each tree-like form are a geometric flower and a form with opposing bird-like figures.
