Seed Symbol Meditation Rug - 2'10 x 6'1

Meditation mat handwoven in Tibet during the early 20th century.  This rug features a minimalist design of two central flowers in deep blue squares, on a striated field of pinks, blues, and beiges, highlighting the beauty of the colors and the minimalism of the design. There is a small sacred seed symbol for "Ah" near the corner. Ah is an important mantra used in meditation. In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. One area of wear down to the foundation. Low pile, with a soft yet heavy handle.
