Contemporary Afghan Rug - 9'1 x 11'8

This rug was woven in Northern Afghanistan during the 21st century. It features a classic Navajo palette enlarged into a large scale which is uncommon for Navajo weaving. An interesting geometric composition of interlocking boxes in red, black, white, and beige compose the classic patterning. It has a heavy handle with a soft and velvety pile from local Afghan wool.
