Antique Baluch Rug - 2'3 x 4'

This Baluch rug was woven during the early 20th century in western Afghanistan. This rug features a diagonal hooked-diamond devices on a camel ground. The diamonds are woven in reds and blues and outlined in either brown or red. The main border is composed of repeating 's' shapes, resembling a pair of opposing roosters, which is a Baluchi symbol of authority and leadership.  In fair condition, with wear throughout (pictured), with some oxidization on the brown wool.
