Jewel Toned Heriz Rug - 7’9 x 11’3

This Heriz rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century. This classic Heriz features a geometric central medallion with vibrant jewel tones and meaty wool. A red field is complemented by deep navy, powder blue, green, gold, coral, and ivory. The four golden cornices add elegance to the rug and the wonderful jewel tones add vibrancy to the composition. It is framed by a main border of alternating palmettes and serrated leaves.  In very good condition with minimal wear for its considerable age.
