Mid Century Qashqai Kilim- 5'2 x 7'10

This kilim was woven by the Qashqa'i people during the middle of the 20th century. It features a simplified garden design comprised of a grid of squares in big blocks of patinated greens, reds, and yellows. Each block contains various protection symbols. The composition is framed by an electric Laleh abbasi border with zig-zag edges. The open space of the squares plays well off the tight patterning of the grid and borders and accentuates the expressive nature of the weaving.   In Very Good condition.
