Blue & Yellow Silk Tianjin Rug - 4’ x 7’1

This silk rug was handwoven during the 3rd quarter of the 20th century in Tianjin, China. It features a central medallion of delicate ivory flowers surrounded by a floral and serrated leaf fretwork in multiple blues, pinks, red, and green on a yellow ground. The whole is framed by a border of blossoming vines on a copper ground. Nicely finished with golden fringes adding further distinction.  In very good condition, with minimal wear. Dense with a floppy handle and lustrous touch.
