Atoll

This unique elegant ring of glass from thin strips of cream, turquoise, and white glass arranged in a concentric pattern. The glass is fired in a kiln to 1400 degrees, which is hot enough to melt the pieces together while retaining the texture of the individual strips. The close placement of these reactive colors results in optical blending, in which the colors visually mix together to create the look of a fourth oyster gray color.  Helen makes each one to order. Specific colors can be accommodated. The sculpture fits snugly into the custom powder-coated stand. Signed.
