Aeonium arboreum 'Zwartkop'

Large Purple Aeonium: Long, bare, 3-4 foot tall stems hold large terminal rosettes of very dark purple (seemingly black) leaves. Yellow star-shaped flowers form in long conical clusters from the center of the rosettes in summer. Great in containers. Attracts hummingbirds, bees and pollinators. Full sun to part shade. Medium water. Seacoast, wind, sand and drought tolerant once established, but prefers occasional water. Deer, rabbit, gopher and fire resistant.
