John Wanamaker trade card circa 1870s-1880s. Oak Hall was Wanamaker's first store. He opened it with brother-in-law Nathan Brown in 1861 at the corner of 6th and Market, later moving to a vacant train shed at 13th and Market (the "Grand Depot") and finally building what is now Macy's in 1911.
