  100% Polwarth wool  This listing is for 4 oz of hand dyed spinning fiber.  Polwarth, Lofty warmth with lasting beauty Polwarth sheep were originally developed in Australia crossing Merino sheep (75%) and Lincoln sheep (25%) producing a fleece that is a perfect blend of soft and strong.  A longer staple length (4-6 inches) makes for easy spinning. Polwarth has a bounce soft crimp that traps warmth while remaining light weight.  This bounce also yields a yarn that has good memory which is ideal for hand knit garments from socks to sweaters.  All fibers are carefully dyed with professional acid dyes in my smoke free cat friendly home studio. All fibers are ethically sourced from areas where mulsing is not practiced Each hand dyed braid of fiber is unique. Even within the same dye lot there can be variances.
