Down-filled cushions – newly reupholstered in premium Italian black leather, offering the luxurious comfort and soft patina associated with the earliest chairs. Threaded cushion snap screws- only seen on the first generation. Matching Shells with pencil mark numbering - its very likely this chair was made in Eames' Los Angeles studio before production was moved to Herman Miller in Michigan.
