Colombia Finca La Veranera Natural Notes Raspberry Herbal Balsamic Creamy Process Full Natural Varietal Caturra Farm The Gutierrez family regained possession of Finca La Veranera in 2006, when the Colombian government took it back from FARC guerillas. Since 2015, this ten hectare farm has been working on different processing techniques under the guidance of Giovanit and his brother, Newerly. This natural anaerobic processed coffee is picked at optimum maturity and floated to remove underripe beans. It is then placed in sealed containers for 160 hours. It is closely monitored for pH and temperature before moving over to drying beds for a minimum of three days. This drying process continues until it reaches an optimal moisture content of 10-11.5%. Throughout the entire process the coffee is carefully sorted by hand, ensuring that only the ripest cherry and seeds make it through to be bagged and exported. Elevation 1,500 - 1,800 Meters
