Why This Watch Matters This Tissot chronograph features the legendary Omega caliber 33.3, as well as a beautiful two-tone dial with red and blue accents. The Full Story As you may know, Tissot and Omega merged in 1930, which explains why this Tissot chronograph uses the famed caliber 33.3 chronograph movement often seen in Omega chronographs from the same period. The first version of the caliber 33.3 was produced by Lemania, another branch of Omega, in 1933 and was used in most of their two-register chronographs. The example you see here reads Tissot Fab Suisse (for the French market) on the dial in beautiful vintage script, and also features two well-balanced registers. The chronograph function is activated by the top chronograph pusher, and the stop-reset button is located on the crown. Add onto this the beautiful two-tone dial, use of Arabic numerals, and blue and red outer scales, and you've got a winner.
