This is an incredibly rare Omega chronograph that continues to demand attention. The Full Story Omega was known for making some stunning steel chronographs in the 1940s and 50s, and this example is no exception. This CK 987, purchased at the notable Phillips Start-Stop-Reset auction earlier this year, features a steel case with oval pushers. The dial was likely originally black, but has since faded to an espresso color with a beautiful Arabic numerals and tachymeter scale. This example is powered by the caliber 33.3, which was originally produced in 1933 by Lemania; the caliber 33.3 can be found in a variety of watches, including Lemania’s own, but are most notably found in Omega chronos like this one.
