1950s Favre-Leuba Alarm Watch
Why This Watch Matters This nifty Favre-Leuba alarm wristwatch will keep you on time while looking very chic. The Full Story The alarm wristwatch was made popular by Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Memovox model and Vulcain’s Cricket model. This model by Favre-Leuba is quite unusual, with a nice case design with elongated lugs and a textured dial. The textured dial is divided into four quadrants and features two-tone silver coloring depending on the angle and light, which adds even more character to the piece. With the two-crown system, the top crown winds and sets the alarm, while the bottom crown winds the watch and sets the hour and minute hands. The A. Schild movement caliber 1475 was the maker's first movement with an alarm function and was produced from 1954 to 1970. This vintage Favre-Leuba is fun and functional at the same time.
