Why This Watch Matters This 1950s Heuer chrono with pulsation dial is incredibly rare. Measuring at 36 mm and with a perfectly aged dial, this is one you won’t see again for a while. The Full Story Here at HODINKEE, we love vintage Heuer chronographs, so when we stumbled across this 1950s stainless-steel example with a pulsation dial and radium indexes, we had to get it. The steel case is in incredible condition and measures at 36 mm, which was huge for back then. Additionally, the pulsation dial (designed for doctors to accurately measure a patient's pulse) has incredible patina, with Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock. Rounding it out is the chronograph function powered by the Valjoux 22 manual-winding movement. All around this watch is a winner.
